Online Examination
An online exam was held as a regular club activity under Phoenix Club, Department of CSE, this test was held keeping in mind that it would help students to test their technical skills & it will project the atmosphere of various online tests conducted by various IT companies for recruitment process. An online web portal (www.ceconlineexam) was prepared by Mr. Sahil Garg student of M.Tech CSE final year as a major project.
Details of the Event are as follows:
1.      Date of the Exam: 25th October 2013
2.      Faculty Coordinators : Mr. GaganDeep Singh , Mr. Gagangeet Singh , Mr. Sahil Vashist
      3.   Eligibility: All Batches of CSE & IT.
      4.   Participants: 200+ students of all semesters took part in this event.
      5.   Modules of the exam: (i) “C” (ii) “C++” (iii) JAVA.

One day Workshop on Hardware & Networking
One day workshop was organized on the topics of Hardware & Networking for Faculty / Staff of various colleges of CGC. Basic idea behind conducting the workshop was to give a brief idea about the maintenance of Personal computer system & Networking.
Details of the Events are as follows:                                  
1.      Date:    25/10/13.
2.      Venue: Block III CEC.
3.      Contents :a)Basic concepts of hardware b) dissembling & assembling of PC c) Do’s & Don’ts while cleaning         a pc d) Basic networking concepts e) demonstration for making a patch cable.
4.      Trainers: Mr. GaganDeep Singh (Assistant Professor Department of CSE) Mr. Sahil Vashist (Assistant Professor Department of CSE) Mr. Sunil (Lab –Technician  Department of CSE) Mr. Gopal (Lab –Technician  Department of CSE).

Guest lecture on Network Security

 The purpose of information security management is to ensure business continuity and reduce business damage by preventing and minimizing the impact of security incidents. An Information Security Management System (ISMS) enables information to be shared, whilst ensuring the protection of information and computing assets.

Guest Lecture on Cloud Computing, Android Technologies & OOPS

Moreover, hiring demand increased by 61 percent year over year for cloud-savvy IT people. Tech-heavy San Francisco and San Jose topped the search for cloud experts; New York and my home of Washington, D.C., display healthy cloud job growth as well.
Android Technologies
The new wave of communication has facilitated the burst in the numbers of smartphones and tablets being sold today. And Android is the technology that runs these devices. Backed by Google Inc, Android allows third party developers to create free apps that can be downloaded. This is what makes a Program in android application development so valuable.

 Debate Competition


A debate competition was organized by Phoenix Club keeping in mind the enhancements of skills of the students and making them company ready, in order they can undergo the various recruitment processes easily such as group discussions, Competition was organized by the students of M.Tech which helped them boost their leadership & organizational skills.
